CHRIS KOCHIS

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Chris was born in Longview, WA, May 18, 1977, to Phyllis and Brian Kochis. Growing up in Longview, he was an All-Conference Football player for the Jacks and attended Lower Columbia College. 

Chris was a very committed father who thought of his children as his greatest accomplishment. He loved attending their many sporting events and could always be heard shouting enthusiastically from the stands. Along with his passion for all things related related to his family and sports, Chris was extremely vivacious, affectionate, warm,  loving and social. 

An annual $1,000 Memorial Scholarship has been established at RA Long for a graduating senior who plans to attend a local trade school (within 45 mile radius of Longview/ $1,000 Kelso), community college or university.  Financial need, minimum GPA 2.5, demonstrates drive to further their education in any field of student.
